“Customer Satisfaction through quality, on-time delivery, controlled cost and continuous improvements”

Omni Engineering, Inc., located in Southern California, specializes in miniature and micro-miniature precision metal stampings of electrical contacts and is a builder of progressive dies.

Incorporated in 1978, Omni Engineering supplies high volumes of parts to manufacturers worldwide.

Engineering staff works closely with customer design and manufacturing counterparts on projects to meet customer requirements for every shipment.

Omni Engineering uses 22-ton and 30-ton Bruderer presses which are housed in sound enclosures.  Each press is equipped with operator safety interlock sensors and tool safety displays to identify sources of any safety shutdowns during production runs.  The sensors help to reduce toolmaker troubleshooting which helps to minimize downtime.

Omni Engineering’s tooling department is comprised of experienced toolmakers who are responsible for assembly and maintenance of progressive dies, whether Omni-built or customer-owned.

Spare tooling parts are inventoried and maintained to prevent significant downtime to the customer.  Also, Omni Engineering establishes pre-determined tooling maintenance schedules to keep production running smoothly.

Omni Engineering’s in-house wire EDM machine cuts die components from carbide and tooling steel with accuracy and precision.  This enables Omni Engineering to design and build consistently high quality progressive dies requiring minimum maintenance over extended production runs.  Omni Engineering offers routine preventive maintenance on Omni-built tools at no additional cost to the customer.

Die transfers accepted on the condition the dies fit within the confines of Omni Engineering’s presses.

Production runs are monitored through SPC data gathering with the help of control plans for each part produced.  SPC data for critical dimensions is provided with each customer shipment, in the form of control charts and histograms.  SPC data is gathered using NIST traceable inspection equipment.

Omni Engineering is an ISO 9001:2015 certified company.
